Description: This design is taken from the original lithograph of the Crinum Giganteum housed in the New York Botanical Gardens Library. From the single stem extend magnificent blooms and formed buds. They make an elegant natural arrangement and when printed at this scale the beautiful drawing qualities of the traditional lithographic technique are clearly evident. In the background, the image is scaled and softened back to create a layering pattern effect of echoing shapes against a white background.  The resulting design has a classical elegance, but with a modern aesthetic and will enhance either a contemporary table setting or a more traditional scheme. It has a timeless quality, but is especially suited to a spring release with the colour palette of fresh greens and clean whites.  

 ~ Constructed from hardboard and cork backed.  ~ Heat resistant up to 230ºF/110°C.  ~ Unique glossy finish to enhance design and presentation. ~ Wipe with a damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth, do not immerse in water.  ~ Do not place cookware taken directly from the oven onto placemats.
