Description: The Tulips reproduced on these placemats and coasters are adapted from a watercolor on vellum by Jacob Marrel (Dutch 1614-1681) in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Flower portraits like these were produced by Marrel an other artists to illustrate bulb catalogues, which displayed the tulips when they could not be enjoyed in bloom. Four Tulip blooms in red-pink and white stand against a sour cream background.

 ~ Constructed from hardboard and cork backed.  ~ Heat resistant up to 230 degrees F/110 degrees C.  ~ Unique glossy finish to enhance design and presentation. ~ Wipe with a damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth, do not immerse in water.  ~ Do not place cookware taken directly from the oven onto placemats.
